TAYLORSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING
MEET OUR COACHES
Welcome to the coaching staff of the Taylorsville High School wrestling team. Our dedicated coaches are committed to the success and development of our student-athletes.

HEAD COACH: STEVE TAYLOR
My fondest memories of high school are
attached to my wrestling. The Highlight of high
school was winning the state championship at
158 pounds. The wrestling team members
became my lifelong friends. I learned to work
hard and that my hard work paid dividends. I
hope I can help our team to learn to work hard.
Working hard through tough times and
discouragements has made me a better person.
I hope we can become lifelong friends and that
you will also find those lifelong friends among
your teammates.

ASSISTANT COACH: SPENCER BUTTERFIELD
Coach Butterfield, 29, is the Assistant Coach for the boys wrestling team at Taylorsville High School. He has been part of the sport since childhood, competing from elementary through high school. The discipline and dedication he developed on the mat continue to guide his approach as a coach, and he is committed to helping athletes improve their skills, build confidence, and apply the life lessons of wrestling both on and off the mat.

ASSISTANT COACH:
JORDAN BUTTERFIELD
I’m 34 years old. I love to camp, hunt, and
shoot guns. I enjoy being with family in my
spare time. I also enjoy multiple hobbies
including D&D and warhammer. My wrestling
background includes wrestling at Bennion
Jr. High School and at West Jordan high school.
I’ve helped assist at west Jordan High School’s
Young Jags wrestling program and other little
groups here and there.
